Special Speaker from Priests for Life
Father Peter West, from Priest for Life, graced our parish with a visit the weekend of August 22 through the 24th of 2008.
After arriving at Pittsburgh International Airport, Father had a dinner with members of our Life Issues Ministry. This gave the team a chance to talk to Father and hear his thoughts of Life Issues in a much smaller setting.
Saturday was spent enjoying the Pennsylvania countryside. Then at Saturday evening Mass, Father spoke about Life during the homily
Saturday night was spent with our youth of the Dead Theologian Society.
Those attending Sunday Mass, were also privileged to hear Father speak about Life at those two Masses.
Sunday afternoon, Father West and our pastor, Father Karenbauer, closed our parish retreat with a Holy Hour Prayer Service that included exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.
Father West gave a beautiful talk, sharing more wisdom of Life Issues.
Father then did a question and answer session.
This weekend with Father West will be one we remember for much time to come and was of benefit to all whom had the pleasure of hearing him speak.
